Hi friends! I made a tiktok the other day that’s been popping off a bit asking everyone what shoes the corporate girlies are all planning on wearing to work this spring and summer. I included some of my requirements, which for me personally, in my office, include:
- Preferably not an open toe — the office is like the internet, generally there should be no free feet. That’s not a hard and fast rule though, just a personal preference, and I’m open to options!
- No flats! I need something that gives me a little height, and I feel like flats with thin soles, like a ballet flat, are unflattering on me as someone who’s short with short legs.
- Comfortable! I don’t personally walk to work anymore, but I do walk around a lot during the day, so I prefer my shoes to be as comfortable as possible.
I did share some of the things I was looking at, and I’ll share them below too. While there were a ton of opinions about what is and isn’t office appropriate footwear, I’ll repeat here what I always say — inspo is just inspo! Not everyone’s office is the same, not everyone is in big law and has to wear business formal and conversely, not everyone is in a casual startup and can wear sneakers or flip flops. So take what works for you, leave what doesn’t! It’s not that deep 🙂
Anyway — on to the shoes!

What I was thinking of:
If you want to just get to the good stuff, here’s a carousel of everything I mentioned!
At the risk of yapping too much, here are the work shoes I’ve been thinking about this spring and summer:
The haters were not a fan of this one but I’m definitely interested in the fisherman sandal trend this year, and saw these on clearance and figured I’d give them a shot! I personally like a white shoe, and think the fisherman look is a good open toe but not open toe shoe for the office. Most of all, I know I can get wear out of these for both work and weekend — with a wide leg trouser or jean I feel like they’d be cute and give me the height I always want but still be comfortable.
Melissa Megan Platform Sandals
Still in the fisherman sandal realm, I saw these and have not been able to stop thinking about them. They’re a vintage 90s style jelly sandal and I think they are perfect! Same advantages as the above in my book.
Last fisherman sandal I have plays into the natural/woven/raffia trend we’re seeing this season. I’m not sure how comfortable or practical they’d be, but I like them!
Pedro Rocco Leather Heel Pumps
These are a way more traditional option that I also love for the office. I’m partial to a white shoe, love a d’orsay moment, and especially love that the heel on these is somewhere between a stiletto and a block heel!
Branching out a little more, these mesh stiletto mules from Dolce Vita have been living rent free in my head since I saw them. I love that they come in a ton of nude shades and black and white, and I would like every one of them.
I wouldn’t say the mary jane/ballet flat look is totally my style, but there’s something about the way these look on the foot that is definitely speaking to me. I wish they came with gold hardware instead but I for sure like these as an option!
These Sezane heels are even more out of my comfort zone, but I like the silhouette and like I said, I’m very into the woven/raffia moment that’s happening now. I’m not totally sure if I’m this girl, but I’d like to maybe chat with her one day!
Sam Edelman Dina Fisherman Mules
This is another shoe that is living rent free in my head because it would be absolutely perfect for me if the sole was just a tiny bit chunkier! I love the square toe and the fisherman elements but I’m scared they’re just a little too flat for my preference.
This is another really great option that is almost perfect to me! I just wish the toe was a little more square, but I still really like them and may even wind up purchasing.
These are so similar to the Sam Edelman ones, only the sole seems to be just that level of chunk and heel I’m looking for. I just wish they had that square toe!
New Balance 9060 (white) (moonrock/linen)
Sneakers are completely ok in my workplace, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’ve been considering biting the bullet and just getting a pair of 9060s like everyone else. I’m waiting for my perfect colorway still I think, but these two are my most favorite that are available now!

Again, this video inspired a TON of suggestions and inspo for what shoes to wear to work this spring and summer. I have some favorites and some options that I know aren’t for me, but below I’ve linked a ton of the shoes you guys recommended for you to browse through!
